My picking is a little bit weird. I use middle finger like Eddie, but I open all the finger, except for the middle, that I keep curved and I put the pick above the curve of the middle and under the thumb (like the "normal" picking, but in the middle)

Hey man, I just started watching your videos. I'm having a hard time with my thumb position, it's almost always up in a bending position. I've seen a lot of pros, namely John Pettruci and Synyster Gates with the high thumb position when they're shreding. Could you give some insight? Also, I'm wondering how to incorporate bends when playing fast? It seems that without the high thumb position, my bending feels weaker. Thanks in advance :)
